When my mother was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago, I was shocked that someone so close to me could be touched by such a serious diagnosis. I knew from the beginning that I would be with her every step of the way. At times, I felt helpless as she developed uncomfortable side effects from treatment and medications. I wanted to keep her as comfortable as possible. I looked for products that would help some of the common side effects of treatment like dry and cracked skin and lips, nausea from scents, dry mouth and metallic tastes, etc. Many of these basic products available contained harsh chemicals and preservatives that made her symptoms worse. I decided to research and find natural and chemical-free products that would soothe her and make her more comfortable through treatment.
